Formula: [Ca5(OH)(PO4)3]x
CAS No.: 1306-06-5
EC No.: 235-330-6
● Product Description
Hydroxyapatite (HAP), also known as basic calcium phosphate, is the natural mineral form of calcium apatite (Ca5(PO4)3(OH)). As the primary inorganic component of human and animal bones, hydroxyapatite exhibits exceptional biocompatibility and bioactivity. It can chemically bond with surrounding tissues at the interface, gradually release harmless ions into the body with a certain degree of solubility, participate in metabolic processes, stimulate or induce osteogenesis, and ultimately promote the repair of defective tissues.
