According to our experience, the spacing falls between the inner diameters of the two capillaries, with no fixed value.
The spacing is not the most critical factor affecting the size of the prepared microdroplets. When the fluid composition and flow rate of each phase are fixed, a spacing variation of ±10 μm has almost no impact on the microdroplet size. The droplet size is mainly determined by the flow rate ratio of each phase.
